Finally I am beginning to do my assignments. But it is moving at a very slow pace. I had no idea where to generate the information on labor cost of our country and others. I have to write an op-ed about Malaysia is addicted to cheap labor. An editorial from NST. I can simply write my point of view and my personal experience from what I saw and heard about other countries. For instance Singapore, they offers higher salary to the locals, to be compared to Malaysia. That is why they have fewer illegal and legal immigrants. I can say that Malaysia now is cluttered with Indonesians, Bangladeshi, people form Myanmar, Nepal. it is as if it has become their country, not our's.
But without them, nobody wants to do the dirty work. Malaysians nowadays are too choosy, and not to forget the fact that the living status of Malaysians are increasing. We have become more educated, but the argument here is that with more educated personnel, we could build and make a better quality material, take examples of creating cars. We could hire a professionals and offer them ample payments. by doing that we could produce a good quality cars. i heard that is what they did for Mercedes. but the car going to cost plenty. yes it is a back and forth argument. it is typical of asian countries to be cheap.
Seriously. just try to compare Europe n Asian. You'll get the picture.
